I don't see 'modern wushu gymnastics' about this form! Looks like standard Shao-Lin boxing technique to me! This Monk's performance of it, might not be full focus & power as some of the older Monks portray,..but, there are many variations. REMEMBER; even 'modern,competition,gymnastic wu-shu', got their techniques from all of these old forms! No matter what movement or technique you use, there 'IS' a real application for it! Old or New! @yungthugjase It's actually really easy to learn traditional forms. If you think the art is in the form then you're mistaken. Anybody can learn a form, it's much harder to do the form with correct power and application (which they don't teach).

Just remember that you are not going to do full power in those demonstrations against air, actual application will look entirely different.

modern wushu is full of running,high jumps,360 spins,splits exzagerated low stances and utilized a large area...so how is this modern wushu? I judge for the UWIF...theres a big different between modern wushu and traditional. I doubt your that ingorant...noone thats stupid. I take it your joking =]

one youve got to realise all these shaolin instructional videos on forms are not the complete thing! they have changed it around or mixed up the sequence do you seriously think the monks would give away there sacred martial arts that easily
