Oklahoma - 1981

You wanna see some acting people...well then feast your eyes on the 1981 production of Oklahoma as performed by George Washington Junior High in Ridgewood NewJersey

The opening scene is me (Judd Fry) and Steve Carter (Curly) singing "Poor Judd is dead" - it brought the house down i'm tellin ya

The next scene is with my best buddy Andy Joseph who played Ali Hakim the Persian salesman.

Then its me getting all emotional as I sing "Lonely room" - hey man...Judd had feelings too you know...and I tell ya...there wasn't a dry eye in the place when I was done - don't ask me why they were crying but just know...they were crying.

Next is the "Dream Sequence" where me and Kathy Parker do our little dance together and in the end...I carry her off the stage to end the 1st act.

Intermission is with my aunt Janice and my grandmother.

Then it is the always popular "farmer and the cowman" piece to open the 2nd act - thats David Becktal playing Will Parker.

Then comes the "auction" scene

Next is the fight scene where my character dies by falling on his own knife...I did a few extra rolls on the stage for effect cause when you get stabbed...you roll around alot...that was the emotion I was channeling through my character...then...I too get carried off the stage.

And lastly...it is the curtain call...Okla-Homa Okla-Homa

It really was a beautiful thing
