@pdxadventurer How much does a weekend cost?

Amazing snow? How do you get on a tour that goes their? How much does it cost for that? What does the company do?
-
Yes. This is the Eagle Cap Wilderness Area in the Willowa Mountains of NE Oregon. There is a resort and cat skiing in the area, but of course not in the designated wilderness. I actually have a different take. There are plenty of places in the west to catch a ride. Being able to get fresh tracks for every single run over an entire weekend is truly a special experience. You ought to come out and give it a try. Make sure you call ahead. Huts book up a year in advance.

The approach is about 1.5 hours up to the huts and then another couple of hours from the huts to the top of Wing Ridge. Amazing country.
You'll want to contact Wing Ridge Ski Tours who run the huts in the area. We just rent the huts and then are self guided, but I think that they will also do a fully guided, catered weekend if you prefer.

oh my god that looks so amazing, im guessing theres no resort out there so you just had to hike it? or is there some service with snowcats where they'll take you up?

Sorry. No resorts, no snowcats and no helicopters. This is in the Eagle Cap Wilderness area, so you've got to hike. The huts are through Wing Ridge Ski tours. Great group. You can either just rent the huts or have it guided. We always go without guides.
