who composed this song? thank you :)

Can't help coming back. Breathtaking!

It might have had a chance if MGM had released it as the A side;I`m surprised Connie didn`t decide that, because she had the executive power to do so. It wasn`t released in Britain at all.

This was always one of my favorites of hers. I still cannot believe that it did not become a hit, and a monster of a hit it should have been!

Lady with an amazing voice.

This one of my favourite songs of hers. No one can match that special voice that I have loved for so many years.

gaychild,
What is on the other side of this?

What year was this? I`ve listened several times, and think it`s outstanding.I don`t think this was released in Britain;had it been, the opposition could have collectively held its head in shame.Connie could wipe the floor with any of them.
I`d never heard this before. Could you imagine Cilla Black or Sandie Shaw attempting to sing this? Connie was so versatile because her voice was always able to meet the most difficult songs.

I can now answer my own question, having recently acquired the 4 CD box set "Souvenirs". MGM released this with Summer Samba (So Nice) in the summer of 1966,but didn`t indicate to DJs which was the "A" side to be plugged on radio. Neither side made the pop charts;bit of a waste, wasn`t it?
