  • okay.. i added a song on my video but the song was short.... how do i add another song in the video??

  • You have to join the two audio files together, using just about any audio editing software.

  • Hi was wondering if you had any clues on how to replace a soundtrack on a music video, lets say a track from the sixties and replace it with a new stereo mix, any idea idea on how to sync up using the old sountrack as a guide, mostly the tracks have a different speed or a slightly different start point, I have managed it in adobe premier but it can take a while, I'm wondering if there is software that can match up the tracks automatically, thx if you find time to reply -Ed

  • If the new audio is exactly the same length... then it's easy. If the length is different... it's much harder, you have to cut pieces from the audio/video, so they match. You can use any audio/video editing programs, really doesn't matter.

What do you mean "it can take a while in adobe premiere"? To process a short music video ??

    I don;t think there's a program that does this automatically !!

  • I don't understand.

You have a piece of video, then add MP3 (which is impossible with VirtualDub, it only takes WAV audio), and the audio is cut off.... please explain further.

  • i am too lazy to download all that

  • @queensoft

oohhh why didnt i think of that

    THANKS A LOT ^ ^

i was thinking like cut the video in 2 then add song in each video, then merge them together LOL

    yours is much easier

    thanks again

  • Thx for the answer, the problem is a music video captured from vhs wont be playing at the same speed as your new soundtrack, so cutting the difference in the length from the end or start wont sync it, you have to alter the speed of the video to match the new audio, that's what takes so long.

But you have given me an idea though maybe if I find a similar point at the beginning and end of both audios then speed up or slow down the older one till the track length is the same, thx for the input -Ed

  • hey im havin trouble... ok wt i do is i cut the video and edit it to where i want it to start and all but when i add the mp3 it's automatically cut too... i want the song to start from the beginning but dont want to have to start the vid from the beginning... idk wtf is happening can u help?
