Jez my friend, it's obvious that Billy Cobham doesn't "work for you"......why labour the point? If enjoying Cobhams music means being an easily fazed child then that's what I'll be.....better than being an up tight adult.

Cobham was my second favorite jazz/rock fusion drummer behind Tony Williams. He also was killer on the skins. This is a tight cut and I got to give props to Randy Brecker's work on the trumpet.

good observation, i didn't notice that before, could be the sound guy tweaking on the fly, but it sounds intentional because the delay/reverb fades in, I think it's applied to the entire kit, you clearly echo on the bass drum also; effects could have been done post?
