i think callas had very pretty coloratura passages, but her high notes sound really strained, especially the ending one. I thought Devia sounded beautiful though.

Callas for sure has the most color to her voice. The top Eb/E is more thrilling than pretty. A voice that heavy sounds very different when brought all the way to the top.

the first 2 sopranos sing some notes too stoccato in their colotura - usually those notes are supposed to be more legato....

I don't like Sumi Jo's High Eb/E natural ... sounds like a shriek

I didn't know Eglise Gutierrez but ... she's AMAZING! I think her performance is the best! Then Mariella Devia and Sumi Jo. I agree with flicfan, Callas comes after.
