CN's daily Westbound freight train appears in Lena in the daylight for once. Yes, the whole train does get by the crossing lol. Thanks to Ben for driving us!!

  • I love the slow trains. Very cool vid!

  • Thanks, to tell you the truth, I'll take 55 MPH over 10 MPH, anything over 18 or 19 MPH works for me.

  • dang he was slow! You guys are lucky CN has left some of your old crossing equipment alone. Everything up here (on main lines at least) has electronic bells, and there are very few without gates.

  • Yep, but CN has changed quite a few crossings out. There is this one dirt road just east of Freeport that had only crossbucks for protection, and now has lights, gates, and bells. There is a vid of it on here somewhere.

  • NICE VIDEO!

  • thanks andrew!

  • long train.10 minutes

  • @ruarc2077 i do too i also like it when they depart.

  • the good stuff bout trains is the sickkk graffiti work that comes along

  • Yep they do have to slow down near any city yards because they are a lot more traffic going in and out usually.

  • It depends where the train is crossing :P

In a city near the yard they have a speed limit they have to slow down to but out in the open tracks they get alone pretty fast ^_^

  • nice lash up man i saw a gtw and a wc a while ago up here in ontario

  • Very long freight train. It is common to see long Freight trains in North America. So shut your engines if you are waitting for freight train to pass.

  • I like highball-fast, and I also love a very slow roaring lash-up of motive power, struggling to pull a hill (especially in a place like Tehachapi Loop, here in the mountains of Southern California). Come to think of it, I guess as long as it's a freight train... then that's what I like. :)
