Mixing powdered hemp hurd turns the cement earth mixture to stone...Adding weldbond white glue thirty to one dilution will also aid the congealing and totally water proofs anything it contacts

@SIREWALL approx 2500 sq ft home constructed by Outcrop INC in 1995 on wolf creek road near eugene oregon. rigid insulation rammed in the middle of a 24" wall system reinforced with vertical rebar and 18" strips of geo synthetic mesh reinforcing 24" on center horizontilly between the foam panels. engineering design was by e leroy tolles. when are you claiming to have reinvented the wheel?

I'm afraid that with this kind of insulation inside, the steam can't migrate all the way through the wall, and may condense into water INTO the wall, and that's a big issue for rammed earth walls.
maybe compacted straw (inside netting) would be a better insulation, because it won't stop the steam.
What do you think? I'm just wondering.

does anyone know of a readily available bonding agent that you could mix with it to give extra solidity? the chinese used rice due to the stickiness of he starch, but i was thinking of something a bit more concrete if you know what i mean? i dont plan on building one of these anytime soon, but one day the info might come in handy. thanks:)

@ChemicalMikeUK If you don't want to use cement then you can always use Lime or even Blood. Loads of info and ways to test soil suitability in my DIY Rammed Earth Manual available from my website. View my profile on YouTube for the web address. Thanks for watching.
