@NaMgKCa He did rise to become the leader of his party (Labour) and was their leader for both the 1987 and 1992 General Elections, which they lost. Labour had no chance in '87 and barely came in 2nd place but in 1992 they were favored to win and many blamed the defeat on Kinnock, who resigned shortly after.
