UCSC Acquire performing a mashup of "Seven Nation Army" by the White Stripes and "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" by the Eurythmics, opening the first night of Acquirefest, May 28, 2010. Acquire hosts this annual end-of-school a cappella showcase on the UC Santa Cruz campus.

Actually, the original songs aren't in these keys, Seven Nation went down a whole step and Sweet Dreams up a step. The reason they match up so well is because of the unique chord progression they both share. I haven't heard it in any other song, it allows the arranger an opportunity at some really cool chords and interlocking musical themes.
