Look at what Liston did to Patterson.
Patterson fought like Tyson. Liston fought like Foreman.
Look at what Foreman did to Frazier. Frazier fought like Tyson.
Foreman is a slugger. Tyson is a brawler and an infigter.
Foreman's style is made for brawlers and infighters. You think Tyson will stay on the outside and wait until Foreman throws those KO punches? Hell no. Tyson moves forward like a bull all of the time. He'd be jumping into constant KO punches. Foreman would demolish Tyson.

I'm the biggest Tyson fan ever but let's be realistic, Foreman had a granite chin, wouldn't be the slightest bit scared of Tyson, and hit harder than a freight train. Foreman would beat Tyson, look at his stats coming into this fight, 65 wins, 61 by KO, that is no joke...

Jameson looks like Kurt Warner

Oh yes, the good old days of USA Tuesday Night Fights.

Regardless of opinions on how the fight would go, it was Tyson, not Foreman, who turned down the fight in 1991. Foreman was up for it, King was keen to make the fight, it would have been Tyson's biggest payday up to the point, but he wanted no part of Foreman. According to Bobby Goodman, King's matchmaker at the time, Tyson was terrified of Foreman.

i guess it depends on which version of tyson u get. the tyson that came out of prison was still formidable. i know king constructed a route with the least resistance to the title for his cash cow, but i also know this tyson still jumped on guys very quickly (remember stewart). the question is, would old foreman's barge pole have stopped tyson from getting all over him? as powerful as it was, i don't c it.
i can't believe people were seriously discussing a tyson foreman match. say what u like about tyson, he had a cast iron chin and no problem slipping a lot quicker jabs than foreman's, and foreman is made for a lateral mover with a left hook and overhand right. foreman had an outstanding 2nd career but prime tyson would have ended it. it was the right move to avoid tyson.

Actually, quite a few boxing insiders have stated that Tyson wanted no parts of Foreman. I wish it would've happened, though.

yes, i have heard that 2 74GD and i can see the logic, if you compare frazier's demolition. it just seems illogical that prime tyson couldn't get past old foreman's jab. still a monster weapon but if a young tyson didn't slip that then it just doesn't make sense. past prime holmes and prime thomas had much quicker jabs and he got past those. slow to set, cross arm defence...i just don't c it?

True. At first I didn't think Tyson would have many problems with Foreman, but then when you look at how he was fighting bolt upright with less head movement during the 90's, I think Foreman could possibly take him out. Too bad we never got to see it.
