Great vid! I am so prepared for the DTV transition on 2/17 because all of my sets (save for one devoted to Wii gaming) are hooked up to DirecTV!

Patrice and Stacy still look good for being on KDKA for all those years. I don't live in Pittsburgh anymore but nice to see video of them - even though it's just the DTV test :)

are you in the Pittsburgh metro receiving that signal? I'm just curious because I can pick up a pretty good signal from KDKA at my in-laws' house in NE Ohio. Although WKBN comes in very well (and their area is considered Youngstown DMA), I'd rather watch KDKA because it's a much better CBS affiliate.

You would be able to connect your black & white TV to cable or a converter box. You will not need to waste that old TV set. You can also use it for VCRs, game systems or a small DVD player monitor with the help of a converter. Your old movies on VCR tape would be very historic on that old TV, especially the black & white movies.
I think he knows that. Hes just showing us the 2 different broadcasts.

That's Charlie Van Dyke in the DTV test message. I'm wondering since the portable TV's need a small type of converter box or a converter battery, otherwise, it's not gonna work. I wonder about the translators of major TV stations though...
