Setup:
This is my OLD SETUP in my 2003 Maxima SE T/E.
These are my 2 RF 10 inch Punch P2's DVC.
Powered by a Profile California AP1000M mono amp.
Cheap .65 cubic foot (per chamber) sealed box.
Pioneer DEH-P4900ib head unit w/ iPod cable.

This is sort of a temporary setup for now, I am still getting everything tweaked up, so it is not to its fullest hitting potential. (Not a good choice of songs, lol.)
A new ported box is coming soon.
The subs are parralled to the amp, each sub getting 250w RMS, (amp is giving 500w total RMS) at 2 ohms.
First song is Feel the Bass III by DJ Magic Mike. Second is Shake it Like a Dog by Kane and Abel.

Feel free to leave comments on what you think, or how I can improve, via amp settings, box, etc.
If you do not agree with my setup, or you have your own negative opinion about my setup, please be adults about it. I do like to receive your own OPINIONS!! Even if you do not agree with my stuff.

Please subscribe, I will have more vids coming soon of better songs and my new ported box.

BTW: the rattling and noises are coming from the car, not the subs. Thanks.

  • are those the recomended dimensions for the box?

  • @tjones1055 Um, I do not think so, for the box was a premade box I bought from Crutchfield for my first system. I don't remember the airspace of it.

  • @tjones1055 Sorry, Just looked and saw the airspace in the description, it's .65 cu. ft.

  • does it rattle a lot?

  • @YehItsMyCRF Well, I don't have this system anymore, but when I did, I did rattle my car, but not as much as say 12's.

  • I do my own installs but when I got a 2003 max I wanted someone to install the system. They said they couldn't put my fuckin sub amp in the trunk. Then they almost fried my sub amp. They installed both amps under the damn seats, put the fuse distribution deep in behind the center console. It sounds good but they had the gain on the 4 channel up way to high and didn't ground the sub amp right. Might be better where you are but the damn place ryhmes with best buy.

  • @killak2115 HAHA, I think I might know the place you are talking about, lol. But yea, I never had my sound systems installed by someone else, other than myself. I just feel better knowing I can rely on myself, and not anyone else, well besides the help of my brother. But installing the amps under the seats is a big no-no, IMO. Just the fact that it get absolutely no air what-so-ever does not help me sleep beter at night.

  • @jsdodge90 not only is there no air but its a dust and garbage trap under there. I will probably go back to doing my own installs.
