Speaker Boehner laid out his vision for the future of U.S. engagement in the Western Hemisphere this morning in a speech to the Council of the Americas. "Now is not the time to 'turn the page' on Plan Colombia" and similar U.S. efforts in the region, said Boehner, who earlier this year led a bipartisan delegation to Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico, the top three U.S. export markets in Latin America.

Sounds like you've fallen victim to the liberal media drones.

I would be an equal opportunity "hater" if they deserve it, but it's not 2007, or prior, anymore. When it comes to spending, the CURRENT (key word, regardless of incumbency) Republicans are trying to bring it down to live within our means, which is a good thing.

And I don't believe it's necessarily free trade that is causing all that, I think what's causing businesses to leave the US have to do with too much regulation.

It is a lie to say that he and others (Republicans I'm assuming is what you mean by that) want to get rid of social security/entitlements. That's simply not true and never was, it was merely a false narrative that the liberal media and Dems use to try to scare people. They want reform to all the programs. And while it's true the Republicans did spend like liberals in the past, the fact is they admit they were wrong and want to change that. The Dems haven't even admitted to their mistakes yet.

Wish Boehner would grow a spine and go up against Obama in negotiations.

If John Boehner were a Democrat, I'd say you were right. In fact (don't try to say this isn't a fact because you'd be lying, and we wouldn't want that) the Republicans have been the ones passing bill, after bill, after bill, after bill, and yet, the Senate (Democrats) either table or simply do not take up the vote on the bills. The SENATE (Democrats) haven't passed a budget in 3 years!!! THEY are the ones putting politics above the American people!
