macs have a lot more issues for security than windows does. you get people that dont know how to use computers using a system that doesnt offer malware protection or virus protection and now lion making a user not enter a password to install software is not very smart. as far as windows goes its not very secure. i wonder what os kevin uses

Windows is vulnerable simply because of popularity. No one does a crime to only get 1% effect. Your better of targeting the 99%. So at home i still prefer windows for multimedia and gaming. But i never do anything professional or financial on Windows. I do all my financial stuff on Linux, Unix most of my work.

@Neojhun The default account of windows will give full root access to the entire hard drive. IE is the default browser which is well known as deeply flawed. Settings are stored in plaintext within the registry allowing the unscrupulous to dump everything they want to want in one hit. Temp files spread themselves out across the filesystem. The filesystem itself, NTFS, has no inbuilt encryption ability. The list goes on. The popularity does not help, but it is flawed from the get go.
