Vancouver, BC -- The juvenile bald eagles at the Jericho Park nest site, which just three weeks ago were little fluffy gray things, are now pretty much full sized. One of the juveniles seems determined to set a speed record for first flight!

  • Pretty cool. If that juvenile actually flew out, would he have any problems getting back, I wonder?

  • @Brianswers yeah, that happens in the wild. Babies start flying but crash to the ground or otherwise can't get back to the nest. The parents leave the food in the nest so if the baby can't get back it starves.

In this case though someone would call the wildlife rescue. Better to not though! Better to just stay safe little eagle baby and fly when it is time.
