It's not so much the shoe. Skikes with permanently attached shoes are also available.
The difference lies mainly in the wheels: Skikes have air filled wheels of relatively large diameter, so that they can also be used on rougher surfaces.

Yea this vid is pretty bad, I thought i would see some tips on getting started, all I see is several minutes of zooming in on some guys hip bag.. wth!

Skikes you can use any boot Powerslides have a built in boot like inline skates. Skikes have dual brakes, I think these have an optional brake for one leg.

With this video, I bought these skates and I must say that they are totally super.If you like cross country skiing, you will find in them the perfect tool for dry training

Sorry to say this, but the video is horrible. I bet that more than half of the time you can not see anything but things out of focus, trees, a tilted perspective or a transition effect. The rest of the time is either in slow or fast motion. If the aim was to create a dynamic video then the job was done well. If the aim was to make a video than you can also watch without getting a headache, then the aim was not reached. Sorry for these harsh words.

These are Orr Road Skates not Skikes...but both brands are good....
We have another version as well - we hope Joust will work on it....Suspension Off road fitness hybrid...

looks quite fun, but nothing beats going 30-40 kmh down a empty street a early morning on a cupple of speed skates :)
