  • We should be at least keeping one of these old great Cotton Mills, they are part of our Northern English Heritage,

The people who worked in these mills where the salt of the earth,( proud working class people ) who work so damned hard though,

We keep enough building etc in this country that belonged to the Upper classes, what about the Working Classes?

    Excellent video.

  • to sad.

The real britain is disappearing fast

Looked like a nice building, had all the cast iron trusses and all :'(

  • To bad they didn't re-use it. They just converted a similar complex around the corner from me to offices and condominiums. Good thing, since new condos in the US tend to be cheap plastic eyesores.

  • Bastards. if you used a hammer and chisel you could have re used all those stock bricks.

  • Explosives are more fun! Shove that T thing and ka-blooooeee!!!

  • I like this machine driver!

  • why, such buildings are versatile, they can easily be converted into another use such as fancy offices or apartments. they are better than the cheap glass-concreet structures they would otherwise put up. and manny modern companies prefere the atmosphere such converted buildings offer.

  • Proud working class my arse, I'm sure they were soooo proud to be nothing more than slaves to their capitalist masters.

  • should have been saved and been a landmark

  • @angelaseed Who cares about the working classes, most of them are as thick as two short planks! This looks like a good building for the new wave urbex smash crews. There was a load of stuff that could be busted up in there.

  • @angelaseed WHAT ABOUT EM. THE WORKING CLASS IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE TOTEM POLL.

    SORRY

  • @garyleehughes 30yrs later Asda will get the same fate, as according to Electrical industry cables require replacement (a full building re-wire on a commercial scale Nah! they just get the trusty excavator) and bring Asda store down or worse still you might get a large discount store lol Pound-land mega store for a few years before it will get condemned to demolition
