It really depends on the person. Are you the type that learns quickly and has excellent control of your desire to go fast? You will get in as much trouble on a 250cc as you will on a 1000 if you are not careful. If you have total respect for the bike and a strong desire to live you should be ok on a liter bike, if you are a young kid that still thinks that you are invincible you will die for sure. My advise is get the bike you want and dont be stupid. I know many that have died.

@PINOYREBEL91 i do have to disagree with laz (not trying to be an a**) but a 1000 is a hell of alot of power im 6 ft 250lbs and throwing a 1000 around for me is a bit much. also giving your experiamce on a bike ie none your not going to be ready for all that power just yet my recomndation is to start on a 600 its plenty of power plenty of get up for your first bike. im on a 96 CBR 600 now and im picking up a 96 VFR 750 today actualy in20 minutes EKKKKKK!! well theres my two cents.

@lazaruslong1971 i understand, i just wanted to see one flying by a car or something to that idea, i see gsxr's racing corvettes or mustangs or supras, i didn't mean any dissrespect! i'm trying to buy my friend's, and he says its a handful! thanks, and be safe!

@boinkz572 It is kinda scary but very fun! It is a handful for sure but I weigh 225 so I can whip it around pretty good. I ride it as much as possible and will be running the dragon this summer up hwy 49. But to your poing of most people only revving them, for me it comes down to I dont have the camera equipment to record anything without holding it in my hand as I ride and as you can imagine that would quite painful.
How much are the monthly payments for this repsols?

@KoolJayable depending on many variables, you are looking at aroung $250 if you finance the entire thing and you pay around 12K. but that is just the payment, its the insurance that is expensive! im 40 and I have a perfect driving record and I pay $150 a month. so total you are looking at $400 a month minimum.

wow! tons of video on this bike parked and people reving them up! is this bike that bad that people are scared to ride it? my buddy is a ryder! he's not the best, but he's damn good! and says this bike is a handful! and its not a bike you can ride once a month or so, he said it will get away from you. so maybe thats why there are only vids of this bike parked with people reving them up?
