hello friend I also I have a Compaq Presario 2100 I just increase the ram from 192 mb to 512 to install windows 7 you could help me please? I would greatly appreciate it

@rockwizard101 Battery: Your battery could be dead. Try to disconnect the Power Source and see If the battery will still work. If It shuts off, then most likely your battery died.
Wireless: It should automatically see a SSID when a Network is in Range.

I found a laptop similar to this on the dumpster. The specs are pretty much the same, except the HDD is 40GB, and the processor is 1.8Ghz.

@yosoytuloquendo34 Yes you can, but you will not have any native drivers other than XP drivers. When I ran Vista on this, I can use XP drivers and I can get the audio and video to work.

@supergodofcod4 Haha yeah. That's what you expect on a old computer running Vista or 7. But the main reason why its 1.0 because I'm using a XP driver under Vista.
