Glad you ask, i just found out not only it has manual focus , but it also works on CAMERA MODE as well.

I just got this camera yesterday and i love it.But i have one issue with it.
Is there any way to navigate the menus without using the remote?

I don't know why it's not working for u , but there are two options , one one the screen left bottom, and the other is located on unit where the screen closes at. the symbol is PLAY .
