  • i wish they had longer instrument cables....!! :(

Love them - thanks so much for sharing, this is Great vid!!

  • This kid was 24 yrs old here and had written all their songs. You should check out that record........ummm i mean that cd. He was a perfectionist and did not tolerate a bad note. His older brother here is the blonde guy. They sang their songs back then the same way in concert as you would hear it at home.

  • I'm a fucking pretentious cunt, but I must admit that Fogerty fellow has a rather nice voice.

  • I'm an apple and I love CCR

  • @sauquoit13456 This certainly is the song that "broke " them in the good way . Yeah Grapevine is cool also in D . I am just realizing now that John may have played this drop tuned guitar nearly always . When you hear the intro it's the other guitarist up in the mix & he is using normal key of D open chords . The sliding fills & solo are clearly played on drop tuned guitar , whole step down like Albert King lower than Jimi Hendrix .

  • Did he always play this song with the guitar drop tuned a whole step as he does here. I knew this was the case with Midnight Special which I just recorded for a certain young starlet , transposing it up for her to Gb . ( I used a Les Paul Deluxe ) BTW back in ~1970 I used the LP Black Custom but CCR had nothing to do with, it though I liked them . It sounded much better through a Fender Twin than a Kustom 200 which I'd also tried at the time.

  • On this date in 1969 {Jan. 25th} 'Proud Mary' entered the Billboard's Top 100 chart, eventually it peaked at No. 2 {for 3 weeks} and spent a total of 14 weeks in the Top 100. It was C.C.R.'s first of five songs that peaked at No. 2; and they never did have a song reach No.1!!! (Personally I think their 11 minute version of 'Grapevine' their best record)

  • I used to listen to CCR, Doors and the Who but then i took a Bieber to the ear

  • I'm a fire extinguisher, and I love CCR.

  • @FiveBillionYears They played "Down on the Corner" down on the corner. I remember that!
