  • Michael handcrafted a wax positive of the desired mold. It was then cast in bronze using the lost wax method. The Bronze was then cut into sections and re-assembled with hinges and a quick release mechanism plus a set of wheels to move it away from the action. ....through genius comes beauty.

  • Thank You! Michael Meilahn is a Wisconsin corn farmer, who blows glass in the Winter. He is working on an installation to be presented at the Figge Art Museum. The piece is concerned with the GMO as we proceed with genetic modification. The images in this 2 minute piece will be used to promote the show and have been captured for a documentary about his work.
