The video illustrates how a flat plastic cap can be oriented on the fly at rates up to 450 caps per minute. This type of equipment is generally used for high speed applications negating the need for multiple feeders and lane combiners.

Caps exit the rotary cap feeder regardless of cap orientation. Reflective sensors positioned within the cap orienter assembly to detect the caps orientation. If a cap passes through the inspection area and is in the wrong orientation it a blast of air is used to rotate the cap at an angle while it is secured between two side belts. The angled cap will then make contact with a stainless steel sheet metal fixture to rotate it fully 180 degrees into its desired orientation. The cap is then transferred onto an exit conveyor and fed downstream to a single overcapping system.

This type of equipment can be used by cap suppliers and manufacturers who produce products and package them into recloseable containers. Del Packaging can be your source for this type of equipment.
