Ranga performs Pushpanjali, a traditional Bharathanatyam (South Indian Classical Dance) opening number in praise of Lord Ganesha.

About the Artist:
Rangaraj is a 7th grade honor student at Linwood middle school. He has been learning Indian classical dance form Bharathanatyam since the age of 7 under the able guidance his mother of Guru Kalaimamani Ms. Ramya Ramnarayan. In addition he visits India every summer and has intense training in this classical tradition from Master Shajilal, an exponent in the field of Bharathanatyam. He regularly performs in diverse events organized by Nrithyanjali Institute of Dance at various schools (public and private), libraries, colleges, and museums. His keen interest in dance and music has also led him to study the western trumpet. He is a member of his middle school jazz band and wind ensemble. Rangaraj, is an avid reader, and is in his schools math league.
