On 30 July 2011 Mark Thomey answered questions for SNN at the League of the South (LS) national conference in Abbeville, SC. Mr Thomey is a Board Member and former Louisiana State Chairman of the LS, the largest Southern nationalist organisation in the Southern States today. Mr Thomey answers questions about the League's statement of core beliefs, which he wrote. He also talks about Catholicism and the League and why Southern nationalism appeals to many traditional Catholics.

  • I'm not Catholic, but I don't really care about Mr. Thomey' being a Catholic because we have the same view of government and though our theological beliefs may not align, I'm sure our moral values do for the most part.

These minor differences are nowhere near as important as coming together in order to free ourselves from this heinous US regime. As Southern nationalists I think it is foolish to quarrel over such things.

  • Irish/Roman Catholic, American, and 100% REBEL. Stars and Stripes, Stars and Bars. Liberal socialists get off my lawn!

  • What is the LOTS's position on Mormons?

  • Well done. =)

  • God bless Dixie!

  • @rebel7254 I am Catholic and I agree with you 100%. We as CHRISTIANS all need to come together and fight for our freedom! God Bless you all.

  • We can ill afford to squable between ourselves, especially over branches of Christendom. There are many Catholics that truly understand the struggle that the South is embarked upon for Catholics are involved in a similar struggle within their religion. Interlopers have created an alternative selection within Catholicism composed of Federalism, social justice and many aspects of communism, all evil. Many traditional Catholics also have a rich, long history in settling the South. Deo Vindice.

  • Great interview! Mark Thorney is such a well-spoken man, and this has really piqued my interest in the secessionist movement, despite my being a northerner.

  • @cosmictimes Actually many people convert from one faith tradition to another or begin practicing a faith wherein before they had been irreligious. A large percentage of Southrons in the Catholic Church converts.

  • Real Southerners are Muslims..this is the only religion to allow slavery towards the black and put the women back in the kitchen.

    Southern Talibans rules !!!!

  • @SouthernGuardian At what point does a ritual become just a tradition, and a tradition just another ritual?
