On March 4 thousands of students walked out of schools all over California . to protest budget cuts to schools and tuition fees in colleges . it was a solidarity of collge university and high school and elementary school students . a group of anarchist revolutionarys protesters and students. take over the streets of downtown Oakland eventually the protesters got on the freeway and shut down traffic ....

Because back east where i live they ee did that too when are mayor decided to put additional 30% tax on an already high tuition rate. We have schools here that cost 150,000 per year to go to (Not counting food, room and board) we protest and rioted that the mayor decided not to do it. But since ya'll was state i think the only way (besides protesting)ya can do that is voting that actor out of office and start electing real people from local to state

@Oakland Did they explain why they are cuttingfunding or where is the moneygoing. Now I know there are a number of things that are contributing such as corperations greedy politicians politics mismanaging of funds by your local and state leaders and also walfare but has your leaders spoken out for or against the protest?

@oaklandlatinosunited actually more of a liberitarian. i'd like to know what i don't understand. California is broke, taxpayers are fleeing the state because we are becoming outnumbered. i'd rather my tax money go to schools for those who'd like to better themselves than those who choose not to work. your anger is misplaced, you should have marched over to the welfare office where the real problem is rather than disrupting contributors to society.
