Road trip in Haiti, June 2009

While visiting Andre's family in Port-au-Prince, we decided to rent a small pick-up and explore a bit. The first day we went to Duvall, the small mountain village where Andre grew up. The next two days we drove up to Gonaive -- hard hit by the hurricanes a year earlier -- and back. I wish I'd taken more video, but I did all the driving and the road was really rough and slow. You can see Andre, his brother Reginald, and friends "Coach" and Jean Milord climbing the statue in the plaza.
