The Berkeley Unified School Districts Annual Performing Arts Showcase 2009 featured student musicians from elementary, middle and high school band and orchestra; a rapidly growing choral music program and jazz and rock bands with over a thousand family members in the audience. This marked another Berkeley first when Superintendent Bill Huyett opened the showcase by singing the National Anthem.
This sampler shares the Superintendents surprise, an all school chorale performance and the Middle School orchestra. The entire concert was recorded by Berkeley Community Media (with four cameras), and is already available for the low price of $15.
