Lucas is the most underrated player in the world, in my opinion he is the best holding midfielder around, he has great positional sense, he can tackle without diving in like an idiot, he has a good first touch and good control, and eye for a pass and he is a very good marker.

I think none of us,even us hardcore LFC fans can deny that we never liked lucas when he had come,but if there's an example of working hard,improving and proving people wrong irrespective of the fact that they dont like you,Lucas is the one.

In 3 years he's gone on to become the best cdm in the prem league,maybe only parker is as good.But no one else.Get well soon Lucas!

@TheAdawg12345 i know,as much as luis and stevie being on the pitch,its actually as important that we had lucas and stevie on the same pitch.That gives captain marvel some respite and he can think of making forward runs.But now,with henderson being useless as it is,and spearing although good but still a little inexperienced and naive,Gerrard has to show maturity and hence stay back and do the holding mid job.

We miss lucas alot,maybe even more than suarez when he was out!

How can people even begin to compare carrick,busquets or de jong to lucas is beyond me.Carrick doesnt know how to tackle whatsoever.Busquets is a diving scumbag who is glorified and over hyped because he plays with the trio of messi xavi and iniesta.

And de jong gets more tackles wrong then he gets right.

Also,most midseason best 11 of the prem had lucas as the holding cdm.And had he he wouldnt have been injured,he would surely have made it to the best 11 of the 11-12 season.
