  • Was that a statue of John Lennon?

  • @BostonMike87 It's a statue of John Lennon that Fidel Castro dedicated in a park.

  • do u have dual citizenship is that how u were able to go there ? and where they nice there ? i would love to go but i would have to apply for citizenship in another country =/ awesome video tho

  • The Cuban people are wonderful and love to meet Americans. And... technically, it's NOT illegal for Americans to go to Cuba. It's only illegal for Americans to spend money there. So, if you are fully sponsored by a Cuban family, it's legal. There are many other legal ways to go there, like with church groups or charitable organizations. You can research it all online on the State Department's website. If you want to go, it is possible.

  • @nicpetniz Well... Did you know that if you got arrested in Mexico, or any other foreign country, you would also "be stuck"? The Cuban government is very welcoming of Americans and in all the research I've done, I've never heard of anyone being detained on the Cuban side. If you're going to get in trouble, it will be when you come back to the states.

  • @MsSolangeB

That would scare me to death. What happens if you get arrested? You would pretty much be stuck.

  • Great video! I just got back from a cultural tour which included Havana and now I want to trash my own video and go back! I went with a group of Americans (I am Canadian); some of whom had licences from the State department and some did not. We flew via Cancun, and Cuba does not stamp the passport, so other than having two entry stamps into Mexico, it's possible to get back through the US border without a problem. No one on my tour had any problems. But now all of that stuff is changing!

  • @stevesai Dual citizens need to remember that they are subject to whichever country they happen to be located at the particular time. Your citizenship in the other country will not protect you. In other words, if you have dual citizenship in Country A and Country Z, and you are located in Country A, it is going to be able to do what it wants, and may not care what Country Z thinks about it!

  • You could just go to canada or mexico, which ever country is closer and fly to cuba from one of those Countries.

  • I'm from Macedonia and I love Havana!!! Great people... great city... great country! VIVA CUBA!!!
