It's difficult to believe LaVerna has made her transition! We were musicians for, "Universal Celestial Temple of Truth," of Detroit, MI under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Betty Hall. I was an Organist, and believe it when I say, LaVerna was a Drummer second to none! Always a fabulous composer/soloist, (as far back as her lead solo on, "For This I am Thankful," with Rev. James Cleveland and The Voices of Tabernacle) with a vocal range beyond compare...

I want to say thanks to all of you for sharing this great music. I had the great pleasure of working with Rev. Joey Jones as a musician too for 7yrs. Minister Laverna Mason really showed her behind on this song. I had the pleasure of singing with her out of the country in Tahiti. We did a two week trip there, singing around the island. She was a mess, but I love her lol. Her passing is a hard pill to swallow.
