  • You always have to wonder about videos that are selective about what posts they show.

The poster is obviously unwilling to show that there are in fact other facilities that are very good and to look at both sides of the story when it comes to breeders

  • @PinkMaggitF1 Not at all, but when you start off a post calling another poster an "idiot", you've lost the privilege to carry on with your rants here. As a side note, yes there are great, professional and reputable breeding programs that exist for TRUE conservation programs in the wild but breeding for the pet trade is nowhere near those levels of great work. The pet trade is not true conservation of the species.

  • I had no ideal that breeding birds was so largely in demand..This does not look like a good place at all....PLEASE!! do not buy from pet store like Pet Smart they get their birds from a place like this.

I run a small shelter for unwanted birds and I see alot of poorly fed and mistreatd birds

  • anyone know how to send this to CNN? This needs national exposure.

  • this is pathetic. the things poeple will do for money is pathetic.

  • I am so glad I adopted at least half of my little budgies second hand.... poor babies, poor parents!!!!

  • @debbieknd, if you run a shelter for unwanted birds, how is it that you didn't know about these sorts of things?

  • not all parrot breedera are like this im breeder my self

  • Dont' Breed, Don't Buy!

    ADOPT!

I got my bird from a shelter...took a long time, but she is happy and healthy.

as for parrots outliving us, I belong to a bird club, and we protect the birds when the caretakers have moved on (died). Never do we give to anyone that is collecting for breeding purposes.

and those birds in this video...no toys, no distractions, sad sad sad SAD!

  • This is very sad.

  • @Fidmom1 -- resuce them from owners who are worn out trying to keep up with the demands ... many species live for 50+ years. Are you up to that? Keeping parrots as pets should be a dying industry. I wish.

  • @tielhi2 There's not a single toy or other distraction in this entire prison-like facility. Completely cruel way to treat intelligent animals like parrots.
