  • Simply wonderful video Mike, which answered much that I did not fully understand about these amazing items of rolling stock. I am truly grateful to you uploading this sequence much detail of which I was not able to capture in my version filmed after seeing yours..

    Best regards

    Steve

  • @XKSteve Its good to be able to see your coverage too Steve!

  • Got to the front in the finish Mike, exellent video, still not sure how the auto Car works, steam Pannier to push but seem to controll from the car

  • @howarth004 Yes Dave. The speed control regulator is a rod system from the coach front end fed right back into the loco under the floor and the brakes are also controlled in the cab at the front of the coach. There is no direction control there. For the opposite direction of travel the crew return to the locomotive and run the train from there..

  • An excellent trilogy of films Mike. Certainly was a different view. Well done..Tim.

  • @2010ditta Thanks Tim. I also had a ride in a normal train past Croft Cottages and tried to film them for you .Alas, they could not be seen through all the foliage of the trees.
