at the 78th commencement of Westminster Choir College of Rider University at Princeton University Chapel. My gestures were a lot bigger then I would have liked.
I would think for a school that prides themselves on choral music that they could have sung a decent piece of real choral literature as their graduating anthem, instead of this schlock.
Oh my goodness. I remember Blake as a boy from The Texas Boys Choir. I'm a little teary. I can't believe he's all grown up and composing beautiful music. Wonderful.
My alma mater! This is Princeton University Chapel, the same place I graduated, BJ. I'm so glad I could show it to you! WE got to sing up in front. Most of us were crying through "The Lord Bless You and Keep You"

That's a pretty cheap modulation - an A Major chord right to F Major......and this Broadwayesque setting of this poem is pretty tacky!

You can't have a cheaper modulation than that; going right from an A Major chord to F Major. Gosh it sounds like Broadway.......ugh.

My professor is a graduate (masters) and I certainly see similarities in the gesture style.
Did you enjoy your time there?

Blake Henson is so anointed and gifted! We sang his "O Vos Omnes" at a GIA reading! I pray God's richest blessings upon his life!
