Deer in the morning at my stand

Filmed the morning of December 8, 2007. Had this buck and a spike with 3 does and 2 fawns come out to eat. My buddy and I had seen this buck on 3 different days but decided to pass on him because we saw a much bigger buck in the area and figured this one would be that much bigger next season. I hope I see him this fall!

I'm glad I passed on this buck because I ended up getting a bigger buck a couple of weeks later:

LOL. That was my seat creaking as I was rotating. I had my full face mask on and I have to breath down or my glasses fog up. You can hear my breathing.

Check out my other video "Boxing Day 12 Point Buck" and you'll see the one I took 2 weeks later. That's why I passed on the 8 point. You have to pass on them now and then and let them grow.

where are u wht state and are u feeding them here in maine we rarly see that many deer in one spot when hunting unless their being fed

I'm in Ontario Canada. That's corn we put down, usually the mature bucks won't come near it as they realize it's too good to be true. The 12 pointer I took on December 26th was in a different tree stand and he came into a buck urine scent canister I hung in a tree.

@Bonamassa1969..... if it is legal in the area you are hunting don't knock.. I just spent a week on a guided hunt in KY all stands were baited with corn and deer were not hitting the corn....Corn is not a golden ticket to killing deer. The big 8pt I bow killed on the edge of a alfalfa field.. We need to stay united as hunters and don't tear down each other for our tactics or choice of weapons

To each his own but in my opinion, if you have to bait deer, you cannot be considered a hunter. You are a harvester. A legal one, so no issues with it or you. I say good luck, nice video. Work on hunting them fair chase. You will have more pride in your harvest. I give you credit for getting out there!
