@SmolyHoax If perhaps heresy is a bit strong you should change it on the description. If you didnt say heretic I wouldnt have been so rash. So I am sorry. I dont think God is schizophrenic nor do others who hold to a common grace view. That is an assumption or ad hominem attack. Can you define the difference between mercy and grace? In what ways does God show mercy to the reprobate? And define what you mean by providiential blessing. Thanks.

@1689Baptist I think you are.

@SmolyHoax I dont think I was being that rude. You are claiming that people who believe inc ommon grace or that God has a degree of love (even a different love which is non-salvific) a heretic. Quoting you are on your video description: "heretical notion that God loves the reprobate and desires their salvation (even though He has predestined them for hell) is now being labled a Hyper-Calvinist." Now that to me is even more rude than calling someone crazy. Dont be hypocritical.

PART 3
...Here therefore we have an instance of "desire" on the part of God for the fulfilment of that which He had not DECREED, in other words, a "will" on the part of God to that which He had not DECRETIVELY willed.
It is introduced by the idiom "mi yitten" which literally means "who will give?" but is really a strong OPTATIVE expression meaning "OH THAT THERE WERE!"
The They are being labeled hyper-calvinists because they ARE hypercalvinists! I am a 5point calvinist and traditional reformed theology would reject your idea that God only hates the reprobate. Yet you call people who teach that God loves the reprobate with a lesser non salvific degree of common grace a heretic....you are insane.

@MaharlikaAWA ".you are insane..."
Rudeness is NOT one of the fruits of the Spirit brother. Please refrain from leaving insulting comments in the future. You are ill informed if you buy into the common grace idea. Many SOLID Christian theologians have. I do NOT call them insane. I have the highest respect for Louis Berkhoff for example.
But love that is either unable or unwilling to save me is NOT the amazing love of our Holy God. In the words of Dave Hunt: "What Love is this?"
Blessings!

@SmolyHoax At least make a point why you think someone like me is a heretic, or believes heretical things (which is the same as calling someone a heretic) just because I believe in common grace which is different from saving grace. Have you read the early reformers works? They dont teach what you do.

@MaharlikaAWA "Have you read the early reformers works? They dont teach what you do."
If YOU had read the Puritans, Luther, Calvin and others like I have, you wouldn't make such rash comments. Perhaps heresy is a bit strong. But the idea that God is schizophrenic and loves those He has predestined to hell fire attacks the very character of the Most High. God is loving. Yet we must not confuse His providential kindness and blessing with grace. He shows mercy to ALL even the reprobate.God bless!

True or False:
Scripture shows in some places, God "desiring" something that He had not decreed to come to pass?
