Easiest way is to display a NOTICE in your windscreen, charging any ticket or clamp that is issued against your vehicle, start with £500 per hour or part thereof, if the NOTICE is clearly visible, it means they have agreed to your terms & conditions if they go ahead with the ticket or clamp.

Having thought about this clamping business a little.The people putting the clamps on are actually causing criminal damage to the vehicle. The car or van can no longer be used as the manufacturer intended. The vehicle is damaged.

A Crime.

For the people who have damaged the vehicle in this way to stick around and then demand money is extortion,which is of course,another Crime.

This "clamping" also infringes on our right to travel freely in the UK.

Again another calamity these people make.

So... to remove a clamp...

1) have the right kind of spanners available to remove the wheel like you did

2) spend all afternoon removing wheel

3) still be unable to remove the chain that goes around the suspension

4) hope they don't add another clamp to another wheel?
