I've attached 3 rotary encoders, and RGB-LED and an 4*20 character LCD (trough 2 shift registers) to my Boarduino (Arduino clone by Adafruit.com, easier to plug into a breadboard) and wrote some code for it.

It's supposed to end up as a moodlight-type thing with the option to customise and save presets, after which I'll probably either get bored with it, or try to make a usable standalone solution without Arduino.

The red/green/yellow LEDs above the display are for debug purposes.

  • Nice work! Please feel free to post the code or more about how you accomplished it.

  • What LCD are you using?

  • Now when you need to tell someone about the time you saw a pretty young girl with fluorescent white hair, you can demonstrate the color.
