And FINALLY... I have a decent multirotor aircraft! This is the result of 5 months of on and off research, design, and flight training. Had I known back then what I know now, I'd have ended up either quickly perfecting a mediocre design with a tricopter, or I'd have quickly ended up where I will be next month - with an all CCW propeller driven and totally badass quadcopter. For now, she's using two pair of CW "pusher" props and a pair of CCW "tractor" props, and she's just wicked good as you can see. About 90% of the whoopsies in this video were pilot error, and I'm getting better all the time. Anyway, big YAYYY for the seriously successful rebirth of the Valkyrie multirotor aircraft project!
A side note... All along, I've been calling this place "P9". I just found out by going back to my first videos at this field, that that's WRONG... It was actually P1 back then, short for Potential #1, from the days where I was in a mad scramble to find a new place to fly. I have officially designated this area "Playground Omega" as of now. All my future "keeper" fields will earn the "Playground" name scheme, with a Greek letter to polish it off. The one exception to this naming scheme as of now is "The Park", which consists of the parking lots at a large business complex in my area.
Enjoy the vid, and expect great things from this bird. Wait till you see my next video footage, from two days ago - parking lot race course, wheeee! And I was MUCH better at flying her already! This thing trully rocks it. :-)

Still waiting for more microbiology, but the flying videos are cool too.

@InfiniteRedPill I was coming back from my FPV mayhem in "The Park" (video is in the works) a couple of days ago and saw a wood stork sitting at the canal along the roadside. I did a little offroading to go get close to him/her for some pictures. Did ok with the photography, but what really caught my attention was the THICK green scum on the canal water. I'm thinkin a field trip is in order... with sample jars. ;-)

@octane81 Thanks! Hahaha hard to get much lower than at 12:16... You should have seen the mayhem happening on the undercarriage - every time I skipped the asphalt, my little rubber stopper feet would go flying everywhere hahaha. Man I love this thing though, wow... You can fly them almost anywhere and they can either sit still in the air or burn out like a bat out of hell... So far I've managed 30mph and I know I can do better. SO much fun, every RC pilot should have one, ESPECIALLY FPV pilots.
