@85rotarypower at the track we go to a electric oil pressure gauge is required because they don't want anything that is flammable in the interior.

iv got the same motor with the same set up running pefect its been in my 626 4 15 yearz and still with 1/2 million ks on the motor

@debojoh This could be true, but I don't know for sure. Enlarging the intake and exhaust ports, while allowing more flow, also changes the port timing. Its essentially the same as putting a longer duration cam into a piston engine. By enlarging a port in one direction or the other (in relation to the rotor rotation direction) changes the port opening or closing angle. When the intake and exhaust ports start to be open at the same time, the engine starts to lope.

@85rotarypower A guy told me that bridgeported cars burn up the fuel so fast that the lope is caused by the injector pulse. I mildly ported the intake and exhaust on my 87 turbo 2 and it does have a slight lope to it.

wow...

when porting, do you need to go stage by stage or can you leap ahead from stock to stage 2, 3,4 or even stage 6?

I thought 13b's were fuel injected.....I thought I saw a carb on there, but maybe it was something else... I know the 13b in my GSL-SE is fuel injected.

@ModernWarfare2man Yes, most 13B's were fuel injected. The ones that weren't were the 70's 4 ports. But mine is a S4 13B that I put an Edelbrock carb onto. It nets better performance than the original fuel injection setup I feel, and allows me to more easily tune the engine.

just got iequus gauges put into my 1972 firebird and there sweet and easy to install. but i wish i had an electrical oil pressure gauge instead of a manual one

@ACHEESEDANISH00 My car has the mechanical oil pressure gauge, and I see no problems with it. The little nylon line is as easy as a wire to run, and it works just as well as an electric gauge.
