Everyone keeps saying he is like Andy Kaufman, he is only sometimes like him. I think Neil Hamburger developed his own genre.

I saw him live and talked to him afterwards. He dropped the character, and this is pretty much how he sounds normal.

@howardbeasley - I know... that's why I was saying I preferred his voice PRIOR to Laugh Out Lord. It's still funny with the nasal voice he began using on Lord, but I preferred it when he was just a normal guy who was terrible.

I much preferred his "normal" voice, circa everything prior to Laugh Out Lord. It made his act much better, as he was just an awful comedian, but a normal guy.
Now he is much more of a caricature, whose awful voice is used to antagonize the audience, rather than relying on his awful jokes and delivery.
