Metasonix TM-7 "Robotspeak Edition" Tube Distortion

Metasonix's sonic sadists have cooked up another agonizing, screeching, dog-deafening tube distortion box. The TM-7 is basically a mean, angry guitar preamp made of three vacuum tubes, plus a feedback loop which makes the preamp unstable. There is nothing else like it. The first ten of these will be produced exclusively for San Francisco's Robotspeak store as part of a limited edition featuring a stereo output. Chachi Jones takes it for a spin with the Elektron "Machine Drum" to give you a taste of what this little beast can do. 1. Metasonix pedals are by no means just "guitar pedals." Look at the company's website and you'll see the sound samples come from guitar, drum machines, and analog synths. I'm pretty sure the guy who made it has a better idea what it was "meant for" than you.

2. Robot speak is an electronic music store, and they made this video.

3. A drum machine allows for the person who made the video to work with a steady tone and twist the knobs to give a better idea of what the knobs do.

That sounds nothing like a ring modulator. Please keep in mind that the input is being fed a signal with indefinite pitch. The character of the distortion is going to be THICK. Please , the next time that you see something that is clearly not made for you , keep your uninformed opinion to yourself. There are several audio files available online that sound nothing like this.
