A sad story.
Demri was the love of Layne and one of the most important things in his life. She was a beautiful, sweet and charming girl. Demri touched many lives and losing her hurt everyone that loved her.
She was passionate about many things and exceled in art and theater. She loved to collect vintage clothes, make decoupage, write poetry and play in front of the camera.
Unfortunately, she was a heroin addict and that was a death sentence. Demri passed away from endocarditis (a bacterial infection of the heart valves). She used dirty needles, which means they were used more than once (it could be the same person used it twice). She died on October 29, 1996; and the grief Layne felt was so overwhelming, that the pain stayed with him until the end of his days.

Went to school with Demri. She was a beautiful little pixie. She was a very kind person and seemed above it all, a really classy girl. She had a danger-loving side, too. It was scary how self-destructive she could get. You could tell things weren't right at home. It makes me sad that she got into such hard drugs (and couldn't get out before it was too late).

@tickedoffnow Damn, that must mean that Walgreens is at the top of the list.... Not to mention the drug co. doctors, liquor stores, bars, fast food, big tobacco co., and the number 1 killer of them all..... wait.... GOD! After all w/o his plants and the knowledge he has bestowed upon us; none of the would be possible.
