FFX - Maxing Stats Guide - Quick and easy AP (Part 2/3)

One of the many fast easy ways to get AP.

Equipment Required:

A Weapon With the Overdrive to AP ability. Made from using 10 Door To Tomorows.

The Perfect weapon would be.

Overdrive to AP
Triple Overdrive
Triple AP

The easiest way to make this is to kill One-Eye, he drops weapons with Triple AP.

You'll need 10 Door to Tomorrows for Overdrive to AP. Bribe the Mech Leader enemy in the Gagazet mountains it should be around 74,000 gil for 2. You can Steal 20-30 From Ultima Weapon but thats a 1 time event. Also Unlocking 6 Arena Bosses will reward you with 99.

Finnaly you'll need 30 Winning Formulas for Triple Overdrive. Bribe the Sand Worm for 15 Winning Formulas for 900,000 gil. Or Capture 1 of every monster and the guy will give you 99.


But double of either stats is ok too.

Auto Phoenix is helpful but not required.

Auto Haste is also very helpful and will speed your AP Gain up, but not needed.

To get "One-Eye" I need to collect 4 of all eye monsters. But "bat"-eye" can only be found in via purifico.. help!!! =((((

@lordabomity bat-eye isn't capturable you don't need it to unlock one-eye

i think it's easier if you hit the tonberry with a character with high attack in stoic mode (he will do high damage to that character in exchange, i think it works like that, not sure though) and have the other characters in comrade mode. this way you make sure that everyone gets AP. Also the perfect weapon would be that one with 1 more slot and double AP, but that would take too long since you'd need to get the triple ap yourself (6.5 million gil bribing marlboros) and you don't even need it

@badalex17594 The tonberry is more consistent but if you have low speed characters this is actually faster. Double AP doesn't stack with Triple AP so if you have both you'll only get Triple AP.

How can I quickly get comrade on all characters?

@Michel0555 go to besaid or anywhere really easy, get in a fight, cast hastega on the enemies slowga on your party then afk for a while, heal if needed.. make sure not to use the monster arena you dont learn overdrives in there

After you told me you cannot get overdrives in the monster arena I stumbled across another problem, I had 255 evasion so nothing would hit me. I needed something that ALWAYS hits.

Then I got a brilliant idea! I made an armor for Wakka with Confuseproof. Then travelled to the inside of Sin and encountered a battle with 3x Ahriman (flying one-eyed).

I made wakka provoke all three of them, making them always use the laser eye attack on wakka.

I got COMRADE on all other chars very fast.

Thing is, I have [ Triple ap], [overdrive->ap], [SOS overdrive] on weapons for all characters, however, not all have comrade mode. So how can I quickly get Comrade mode on all characters?
