  • We hope it does get the point across. And yes, sometimes it's necessary to simplify things a bit when you're trying to fit it into a short video piece. Thanks for watching!

  • i'm an AP US History student and I love these videos. They're funny and interesting so I remember them and they're also informative. I'd love if you guys did a longer video over the Jacksonian Democracy and the Era of Good Feelings.

  • lol. you should do the adventures of Jackson in Florida! that one might be a little too much for the kiddies tho if you know what i mean ;-)

  • these videos are great you should make one about the war hawks

  • 1:03 HENRY CLAY! *derp*

  • Wonderful! Thank you.

  • Oh my god.

    This is beautiful.

  • Its a gross over simplification to say 'northerners did not mind tarrifs at all'. Actually a great many New Englanders were as hostile as the south to this tarriff bill, as their industries depended on imported materials that were hit by tarriffs. The tarrif bill was largley passed by the votes of, what in 1828 counted, as western states. The new industries of the west were reckoned to need tarrifs untill they got established.

  • I LOVE THIS VIDEO. It makes me chuckle everytime, it's truly a work of art. Henry Clay looks so dopey! What has he been smoking, and what has Calhoun been sucking on? He sounds all heliumed up xD !

  • Wasn't it the Tariff of 1833?

The tariff of 1832 was written by Adams and was still deemed unsatisfactory in the South.

  • HOLY CRAP THIS JUST MADE THE CONNECTION BETWEEN JACKSON, CALHOUN, AND CLAY CLICK. I JUST MIGHT SURVIVE MY APUSH QUIZ :D

  • watch?v=6Z-2EKGz6qM&feature=feedf

Urgent that you watch!! "not my video"

  • technically calhoun proposed the nullification act not the seccsion. south carolina proposed the secession but calhoun supported them in their descion, so not totally wrong. also i think it would be important to mention that jackson was about to use intense violence before henry clay.sorry vid is very funny correcting historical innacuracies helps me study ive got a final on monday. cool vid though
