I volunteer in a cat- and dog- shelter. The difference is my compassion goes hand in hand with realism. I don't support the testing of cosmetics on animals, at all, nor applications like air freshener. I support retrospective studies in humans to measure the effects of pollutants etc. rather than animal testing. I support the use of cell lines and invertebrates over animals in intervention. But some research just can not be done without animal testing, that's the reality.

@SSTTEEAALLTTHH - I can tell your a superior and extemely intelligent. Atleast you come across being better than everyone. I dont really care. What im missing in all your statements is compassion. Which is my problem with the world today and why PETA may not have it completely right but does have a point. And yes, I agree with testing for medical research. But do we REALLY need another kind of shampoo? OR a new and improved air-freshner so we cant smell our own shit anymore?

Do you all really need another air-freshner, or a new type of toothpaste... are a fancy new bodywash. WTF. If it saves lives, I can understand, but lets keep them in a humane setting.
