Once a year, the Calgary Stampede offers the collectors of Vintage tractors a chance to showcase important pieces of Alberta's history, as well as give them the opportunity to put their tractors against each other in friendly competition. These distinctive tractors, all manufactured before 1960, command a loyalty among their owners; and are collected, restored and shown at tractor shows all over North America.
The Calgary Stampede is one of the premier venues for tractor pulling and is a trueshowcase for these working pieces of art and historical legacies of our agricultural heritage. The tractors at this venue are split into six weight classes where the drivers show their skills of operating as they attempt to pull for distance over the two day event.
Last year (2006) Phat Ass Production Studios Inc. had the opportunity to capture The 2006 Calgary Stampede Vintage Tractor Pull on video, giving us a full 2 days of coverage with interviews with some of the drivers and unprecedented access to the infield for close up action. Over the two days we capture over 10 hours of video. We are pleased to announce that we now have that video available for general sales to the public.
You can order your copy of the video through the store on the www.phatassproduction.ca website.
