"We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars."

And finally, after over a year of training I'm ready to challenge William Percival Wulfric Oak once again to reclaim my position as the Kanto Omega Champion.
Vaporeon: Vapy here will try to stall you to death with Substitute, Wish, Toxic and Surf to have at least one damaging move. It's got lots of bulk but isn't very fast.
Gardevoir: The poor thing will never be threatening, even though Gardevoir is far from a bad pokemon. It's got a shallow but sufficient movepool and its stats are all right. Except for its Defense, so Ghost or Bug moves will take it out.
Houndoom: One of the veteran members of Billy's crew, Houndoom is still pretty scary. It's got a very effective moveset but it's kinda fragile and not all that fast. It's got tons of weaknesses so abuse those.
Electabuzz: Billy's starter, at level 99, the highest leveled pokemon in the game. Eleboo is incredibly fast and has some scary moves, but it's still fragile so a STAB Earthquake will probably kill it. Ground types should watch out for Ice Punch, but since Eleboo doesn't get STAB from it, you could survive one.
Metagross: Without a doubt Billy's 1337-dozer. No matter what team you've got, Metagross is incredibly scary. It has Meteor Mash (which raises its Attack all the freakin' time), Earthquake, Shadow Ball and Agility to give it some sweeping methods. Metagross has very high physical stats so Fire moves are the way to go here. Charizard laughs at Metagross since it can live through a Shadow Ball and Blast Burn it, but any fast Fire type (so most of them) can revenge kill it with Overheat too.
Sceptile: Substitute + Leech Seed + Leftovers give it excellent walling methods, but its stats don't back those up. If you could beat Lance's Sceptile you can beat this one too.
So that's that, the final battle and the end of this walkthrough. Although recording and editing can be a pain sometimes, I enjoyed this challenge. I do, however, regret not picking Jynx as a starter. When your rival has Magmar he gets his best team by far, so that way the challenge would have been bigger and the victory sweeter. Now I'm taking a big break to prepare my next playthrough (Chevitile knows but he'd better not tell anybody). In a few weeks I'm going to South Africa for a month so then I won't be online to react to any comments. I'll probably reveal what my next playthrough will be when I get back.
Fire Red Omega is an excellent romhack and big improvement over the original Fire Red. If you want to play it just go to Drayano60 channel, he has a video that explains you how to download and patch it. This wasn't, however, my most challenging run yet. Remember, in my Leaf Green Omega Mono Rock Challenge I had to use save states and even broke the rules once because of one literally impossible fight. This team had a lot more variation and everybody got a nice niche in my team. So here's a quick roundup of the stars of this journey:
Indrid: My real starter, with Compoundeyes to give Sleep Powder 100% Accuracy (though it still missed sometimes). It stood up to Legendaries (Mewtwo in particular) and saved me a bunch of times by putting my enemies to sleep, giving me time to regroup.
Thetis: The Dragon slayer. Having Ice Beam on my team this early proved to be a huge asset, and Rain Dance and Intimidate were very helpful too. It even turned out to be kinda bulky despite its Defense lowering nature.
Nefertiri: Okay, so she didn't really get her time to shine the last couple of videos, but she was still a very helpful team member. During my first fight with Lorelei, Nefertiri saved the day. Hidden Power Fire would have been helpful though...
Hertz: Probably my most powerful pokemon. Thanks to that nice stat boost in this hack it turned into the equivalent of Yanmega. Combine that with Speed Boost and you've got a rapetrain with wings, and big funky eyes.
Dastan: Ground/Rock is a great offensive combo which Dastan used very elegantly. False Swipe made by job a lot easier in Chronum Tower and Dastan showed to be very capable in any of my fights (like killing everything on Surge's and Blaine's teams.
Cicero: The most underrated pokemon ever was lots of fun to use. It outsped pokemon 10 levels higher than him and lived through super effective hits with ease. And since both Chevitile and Awsmlyellis are using one now, the pwnage will continue.
Music used:
Final Fantasy XII -- The Battle for Freedom
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance -- Victory is Near
This is a 100% Pokedex walkthrough and a Bug Flying Type Only No Scyther run. I don't own any of the music I use nor do I own this game. Credit for the romhack goes to Drayano60.
just curious but what up with the bug type team?

@pika472 Bug/Flying is considered to be one of the worst (not the worst: magcargo) typings in the game, and since there are so many of them I team with nothing but Bug Flying types would be interesting to use. And it actually was. So this was all for the challenge, and to raise public Ledian awareness.

1) Anytime buddy :) can't wait til your back
2) who's cry was that at the end.... was that the hint for the new game
awsmlyellis 5 months ago
@awsmlyellis The cry is indeed a hint for the new playthrough, but I still have to test that game a few times to see if its possible to pull of. That might take another month or two, so a trailer or reveal won't be here soon.
